What’s the consensus on doing an MBA? Is it worth the squeeze?
Currently An2 in O&G private equity + credit at a small fund in London (I’m British).
I have pretty good stats (First Class Oxbridge undergrad, 780 GMAT Focus) and the work I’ve been doing at this fund is pretty unique experience-wise so hoping to get some looks from M7.
Main reasons for doing MBA: - want to move to US at least for a few years, esp. since a few of these MBAs are now STEM certified (3yrs OPT) - presents a break from work (doing 80-100hr weeks every week atm) - want to broaden my prospects away from O&G - want to pivot into IB
Since I’m not based in the US, it would be useful to know if anyone has any colour on whether or not an M7 MBA is worth it these days as a feeder into IB?
