When is a renege worth it?

Saw this post (https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/investment-banking/2025-us-rankings-middle-marketbalance-sheet-investment-banks) and thought any "upgrade" i.e. letter grade jump would be worth it but also reading that unless jumping from mm/lmm/boutique to bb/eb, its not.
The jump I'm wondering is from HSBC, Ziegler, ING, Rabobank, Capital One, D.A Davidson, B.Riley to Mizuho, Stifel, Lincoln International, Cantor Fitzgerald, TD Cowen, Leerink, Santander
