What is RBC base right now?
100/105/110
Ridiculous how rbc is below street now
They were one of the first to raise after GS13 and heard they paid good bonuses last year so I’m not expecting much. Others chime in if I’m o wrong.
Yes but shouldnt they continue to be high / setting the bar?
They raised base twice, first to $95k then to $100k. I’m linking a thread from last year below. According to that thread most firms are actually at $100k. I’m not sure how up to date it is but I know for a fact Piper is at $100k and I’m pretty sure HW is too. I believe many banks including BBs are at $100k still. Idk if they should be leading the pack, I guess that’s up for debate. But I wouldn’t say they underpay.

Interested in wells also. I feel like these in between banks can’t put themselves into a 2nd tier of pay for that long. I mean before the raises every reputable bank was on one playing field for pay. Now they are making the quality disparity obvious all to save 10k per analyst.
I think UBS upped to 110 so hopefully that applies some pressure for CS/DB and then the rest like dominos lol
Weren't there a handful of posts recently about high total comp at least for Associates? Like comparable to EBs.
Weird obsession with making every last 5k on base - it's about total comp and RBC scores highly on that. At least it did last year, hopefully that continues.
not downplaying the value of 5k man, if they randomly bumped my base pay by 5k I'd be pretty happy. Just saying if the math works out to a bank paying you 10k cash more all-in for a 5k lower base, you're still ahead.
