When to mention vacation request
Hi all,
I’m joining a bank full time this coming summer am pretty excited to have the rest of senior year and training. My sister will be getting married this year and set a date for October - I was just wondering how to go about communicating to my team about this. I do text associates and VPs on the team here and there so it wouldn’t be too big of a deal but I wanted to hear y’all’s opinion about whether it’s great to tell the team earlier or wait until I hit the desk in August?
Thanks to everyone in advance - probably overthinking but my parents are in the boat of telling my VP rn (they sound quite old fashioned IMO).
Request PTO as soon as possible post hitting the desk. Most groups have some kind of rule about how many analysts can be out at one time.
