Working in London (City) and living in Whitechapel
I finally received a FT offer a few days ago and have been thinking about accommodation. I'll be working directly in the city (e.g. 1 min walk from bank station). And Whitechapel is less than a 20 minute walk from door to door. There are also decent ensuit rooms for less than 1,000 GBP. However, I've been reading that I should consider mainly Shoreditch or Angel, why?
Whitechapel is not a great area
Would recommend instead Angel / Shoreditch / London Bridge / Aldgate / Tower Bridge if you want to be walking distance
If you pay 1,000 GBP per month for rent in Central London, your flat is likely gonna be terrible
I was thinking about 1k for a en-suit. But I guess the other locations are better. Tbh ad long as I get from my home station to bank within 20 minutes it should be fine, right?
