Would this be a good internship to take in spite of missing out on IB

I shit the bed with IB recruiting and have gotten an offer at a mid - low tier F500 company in their corporate development department. The group seems to be decently acquisitive and has made some huge acquisitions in the past four years but the pay is dog shit, its in a remote location, and none of the group are former bankers/consultants. They all have grown within the company so I am not sure if that's a red flag on the type of experience I would be getting. I am also in the process with a small boutique IB that told me they only give return offers if someone leaves so idk if that's going to look bad when recruiting full time. Id probably rather go with the boutique but whats your thoughts on the corp dev.
