2024 FT Recruiting already starting?

I start my SA in just a few days. Apparently some firms are already recruiting for full time positions? I heard Warburg is already recruiting from a friend who threw in a resume. I haven't even started the summer internship and PE firms are already recruiting apparently. I can't believe it.

On a similar note, when should I update my linkedin to show the current summer internship? I haven't done it yet because I had an internship last summer at a different BB and didn't want to make them upset, so I just haven't updated the linkedin profile. I was planning on waiting to update it until I start full-time next summer, but if recruiting is already happening, I don't want to be left out.

I’ve been told to upload LinkedIn once I start working.

Tbh haven’t had much success w FT recruiting yet. Kinda anxious about a FT job, so gotta crush my SA to get the return. Overall recruiting might be tougher than usual cuz of all the macroeconomic shit going on.
