Advice for summer analyst roles (preferably IBD) without any prior experience

Hi all,

I'm not sure if you saw my recent post but I'm a first year at a target for London recruiting essentially who missed SW recruiting this cycle and attempting to recruit for summer roles without any finance experience so far whatsoever. What would be the best direction for me to take right now to prepare.

Some things I've started doing:

• Technicals
• Behavioural (for HV since there is no SD in LDN)
• Attempting to apply to anything else I can get and cold emails PE/PWM firms

What would you say chances of an IBD SA position is or would you recommend me going to Markets since I have no finance exp. Additionally worse case; if I don't get anything spring or summer, would going into summer with no experience but everything else be decently up to scratch considerably hinder me?
