Advice - Going from Canada to UK

Hello,

I'm interested in moving from Canada to London and am interested in hearing from others who have done so or know people that have done so. My ideal timeline would be within the next 1-2 years. I'm interested in IB or AM.

Some questions: 1. Did you go through a recruiter/headhunter? How helpful are they if you don't have a large Canadian or BB bank on your resume? 2. Most common methods seen from people making the move? Online applications, internal laterals, schools, etc.

For reference: One year in boutique IB doing analyst/associate work, 3.9 GPA from no name school, CFA III candidate.
