Am I being ghosted?
Hey guys! Recently got an offer for a new job and signed the offer letter with a view to start in mid-August. Employer said all was set and that we would speak again closer to the starting date. A few weeks later I sent them an email about a question I had regarding the background and references check, and it's now been more than one week without hearing back from them.
Are they ghosting me? Should I be worried about potentially not starting as we agreed?
I would send an email to a different person in HR if possible. Probably nothing to worry about.
My start date just got pushed back and I am very nervous.
