American finding a job in London
Hello,
I'm looking for some advise for finding work in London as an American citizen. I went to a good public school here (finance major) and studied abroad at UCL last year. I just graduated undergrad. Circumstances are bringing me back to London and want to start my "career" there. I have internship experience in finance, nothing to prestigious, but fine in there own right. I know a company would need to sponsor me.
I'm looking for any advise/perspectives from anyone that feels they can add any value. Anyone on here done something similar or knows someone that has? Trying to keep Monkey business to a minimal!
Also, anymore schooling is not something I'm considering to much, so not looking to apply to universities over there.

Bump. What about an American seeking SA in London? I've spent a lot of time in London and will be doing an AM internship there this summer. Would it be possible to recruit for London IB in addition to New York?
Just for an update, if you have at least a decent resume, you'll make it past the first round and get phone interviews and aptitude tests (they're a big thing in the UK). Been applying while living in London and been getting quite a bit of replies for first rounds (been applying for q bit less then a month now). I have a solid resume, but not top of the line. It's a huge market.

UK companies are quite responsive...Also try recruitment agencies as it seem it is big there !
