Answering "Why this firm" for a Firm You Haven't Networked at
I have an interview with a firm I haven't networked with. It's overseas, so I didn't really have much opportunity to network with people there, but I still got an interview. I'm guessing they will ask me, "Why this firm?" and I won't be able to give the usual answer of, "I spoke to X, and they said Y, which really aligned with my interests."
How should I approach this question to give the strongest answer possible?
Exact same way you'd answer a why us, but instead of "I spoke to X" you say "I researched X".
This will also require you to do research on why that firm.
