Big 4 FDD to Corp Dev - Lateral pay worth it?

As the title suggests, I've been offered an opportunity to go into a Corp Dev (Inhouse M&A) role in a EUR ~700m company. I'm keen on accepting the offer as the job itself, for obvious reasons, is more interesting and more challenging long-term and would potentially lead to better exit opps if I'd decide to move into IB or another Corp dev job. However, I have two main concerns.

One being that the proposed salary is pretty much equal to what I make today and I feel that it is probably slightly below market (second-tier city in EU, e.g. Dublin, Stockholm, Amsterdam).

The other concern being that FDD professionals in my region place fairly well in terms of recruiting for PE while I would argue that CD would move me further away from potentially making that transition in the future.

Any thoughts regarding my decision or input on salary progression in FDD vs CD is deeply appreciated.

Best,
