Changing internship dates

I have an offer at an upcoming summer internship at an EB and a full time offer elsewhere. the issue is they overlap by a week. I've already tried pushing back the start date at the FT and they wouldn't let me because of the training period. Would it be worth trying to negotiate with the EB to start earlier despite them having a pretty standardised internship timeline or should I just ditch the internship offer.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Why even do the EB internship? I would just say your circumstances have changed and you can't do it anymore.

There was a dude on another team who was interning who took a whole week off and then the following week "sick", just to turn up as an intern at a client's office. It obvi left a bad taste in the team's mouth and probably he won't ever be able to come back.

What if you want to move around later? Or the people at the EB move around and you come across them later?

I would just urge you to be a bit careful. My initial advice was going to be "take your holiday days", but then I remembered that lil story.

Anyway, isn't it a breach of your FT contract to start with them whilst still being employed somewhere else? I mean, even if you're on holiday you're still employed with the EB. That's a very silly risk to take.
