Commuting to NYC for internship- Need advice!

Hello everyone! I'll be starting my internship early next month in NYC at a BB. I know the work times are going to be super intensive but I do plan on commuting from my parents home in NJ.

The bus commute times would be a little over an hour but after 6 AM they run every 15 mins so I should have plenty of time to make it to work on time. Additionally, to get back to NJ I plan on using the Uber benefits available or just busing back. Has anyone commuted from NJ with similar timelines as I posted above, and if so, how was your experience? I really want to maximize the money I will be making this summer, and having to still pay for my apartment at college would make it very expensive to also pay for a NYC apartment

I mean it's kinda late for this but you should have gotten an apartment in the city. Yes it would cost a couple of thousand but for convenience and social life when you do have time off is unmatched.

I live in NJ and thought of the commute and it made me sick. Some nights I would be working past 1-2 am and the idea of getting on a bus/train for an 1hr+ after that wasn't ideal
