corp dev from IB coverage group?

will be headed to a mid tier BB in NYC (citi/CS/barclays/baml) next summer. obviously I don’t know what group I’ll be in but how hard would it be to exit to Corp dev at a tech company after banking if I wasn’t in my banks technology/General M&A group? big reason why I chose the BB offer versus some of the boutique offers I got was because the BB would have more brand recognition outside of finance.
