Defering a full-time offer and then interviewing at other firms? Will i face consequences! (UK)
Hey WSO,
I received a return offer from a Big 4 firm for a back office position. They allow people to defer their full-time offer and so I did (now 2024) with the intention of continuing recruiting for 2023 in Banking/FO. (must stress defering does occur in the UK and specifically within the big 4 firms)
Can I do Summer Analyst positions / accept full time offers in 2023 while holding the big 4 offer for the following year? The idea would be to renege on the big 4 offer If i land anything else.
Would the banks I am interviewing with care? Are they likely to check? Would the big 4 firm retailiate?
