Didnt Get a Summer Internship Should I re-apply for summers

Hello,

I didn;t get a great Summer Internship role this year (im currently a penultimate students at a Semi-target), I was wondering if I should reapply. I was thinking I could say that Im going to do a masters at the same university I am hence meaning I will be eligible for summers. I am not planning to actually do a masters however.
Should I apply to summers or go straight for grad roles (Sales and Trading)?

Any advice/help would be really useful!

Just to clarify I'm at a UK university - so the undergrad is a structured 3 year course, and it's too late to apply for placements etc.

Say ur doing a masters and give recruiting for summers a shot again. If you get something, then just take a gap year or something before FT if you don’t actually want to do the masters.

You should be fine, but try to apply to some target master programmes just as a backup(oxb/imp/lbs/lse).

what about just delaying grad to take on a minor, do you have to do a masters? planning to delay by a semester

Uk universities don’t have a minor structure. It’s usually a set number of years you do and go (3), so OP has to say masters:(

Gotcha, do you think delaying grad and rerecruiting is a risky endeavor? Just trying to decide if it is the right move

Hey,

So the reason I’m gonna be applying to the uni I’m at for a masters (Durham) is cause I’ll most likely get in. I’m not planning to actually do the masters so I don’t see the reason to apply to other uni - can’t afford a masters atm.
