Baruch student doing IB this summer. There are ZERO recruiters on campus. You have to network to receive interviews.

Got you. Much appreciated for the insight. Congrats on the Summer analyst position! Can you by any chance please explain how the networking process went to get internships for the IB SA role? What were the steps and do you have any advice? Thanks so much

Networking is essentially sending as many cold emails to as many people as possible and hoping someone will get on the phone with you. You then ask about their career, illustrate interest and likability, and maintain the relationship so that when recruiting comes around, they push your resume to the recruiter. You'll want to join a club to distinguish yourself among the general student body since so many finance majors are gunning for IB. Look at the clubs current analysts were a part of to see which are the most effective and apply to join them in the Fall.
