Do off-cycle interns get paid a bonus?
I signed a contract recently for an investment bank to for a 6 off-cycle internship. I assumed the compensated would be the pro-rated base however I am hearing about a stub being paid.
A bonus was not disclosed in the contract at all; have I fucked up by not mentioning it before signing the contract or are 6 month off-cycles in London just paid the pro-rated base?
Any advice would be great for how/if to progress (maybe HR follow up) or confirmation on the common practice.
Thanks.
Lol no you’re an intern
Never heard about an off-cycle getting a bonus so not likely
Discretionary bonuses are mentioned in the employment contract. If it's not in there, then no.
Our interns do not get a bonus. They get free company merch though, which they can wear in their leisure time. This will increase their prestige, and that is worth more than any bonus.
