Does it make sense to re-recruit?

Target with strong resume and gpa, just didn’t hit it hard enough on the networking. I have an SA offer, but it’s not as “good” of one as many of my peers with similar gpa/experience (ie wont get MF PE looks but maybe a few UMM). Is it looked down upon to work (a relevant internship) for a semester and then re-recruit for SA 2025?

Jeff is an absolute sweatshop and will grind you the f out + a few years ago they gave returns to only half their interns. However, if you are one of those people who get returns, you will be completely fine. I don't even think you NEED to lateral or re-recruit unless you are exclusively targeting the top MF's. Jeff regularly places into MM/UMM, and top groups can place into UMM/MF if you grind.

Edit : my downvote? This is just factually true and nearly unanimously agreed on. I see I have pissed off some incoming Jeff folks, but am trying to be helpful here. I have no dog in this fight, as I'll be at a BB.

I heard during recruiting that summer analysts are basically guaranteed a return offer, is it safe to say that's not true...
