from EMEA to NYC

How are you doing mates !?!?!
I want to know after working for how long one can ask MD/Director/Head of Department/whoever decides this to transfer him to another location. For instance, I will be working in EMEA and after promoting to associate, will I be able to get an internal transfer to NYC, Chicago, or London ? Or they might say that my skills are not relevant to NYC.
At first, I want to get international experience; thus, I want to work in EMEA at the beginning of my career.
Advices and opinions are highly appreciated !
