From Ops Internship to Treasury FT

OK I'm between a rock and a hard place, got an offer from a BB Ops in London and from PwC audit for a summer internship. However my goal is to work for the Treasury division in one of the London ibanks. Is Ops a better stepping stone for a MO role given a little luck and networking (given its considered the back office of the back office), or should i go down the life sucking PwC route?

Basically my question is am i gonna get typecast as a back office drone with Ops on my resume and I should avoid it at all costs or is there light at the end of the Ops tunnel?

Cheers

you know, perhaps it's my stupidity talking, but i would say they're both on equal footing go with whatever you'd like more

Not sure how realistic this is, but you could probably use the PwC internship to try to network with some TAS/TS people. And try to get into the TAS group at one of the big 4 after the internship. As far as I know, the work there is much better than audit, and you could probably get into a treasury position from there. Just a guess though. Best of luck!
