Getting a job with a criminal record
I was convicted of section 5 1b firearms offence possession of noxious substance (pepper spray). What are the chances of being accepted on to a graduate program in investment banking, global banking, wealth management etc. I was given a conditional discharge but because the jobs mentioned above are FCA regulated a standard criminal record check can be requested and no conviction can be filtered until 11 years pass.
Will this be held against me despite it not being a barring conviction for this profession I.e. fraud?
I qualify in every aspect they ask for but they ask for a dsb check and I'm scared I will not be considered for the role.
