Ghosted After Getting Offer

Hi all- I've been recruiting for IB roles for a while and after going through a rigorous interview process I recently got an offer for an unpaid internship at a small boutique bank (~7 people) for Spring semester. Coming from a non-target I didn't have a ton of experience so I thought it was a good fit. After I got the offer, I reached out to see if I could start at the end of January instead of December and I got ghosted. I sent multiple follow up emails to the people that interviewed me, but got no response. I have an email tracker so I know that they opened it, but I can't figure out why they haven't responded. Does anyone have any insight as to why they just stopped responding/if I should continue reaching out to the firm? I don't have other offers and want to get IB experience so I'm pretty invested in getting this job.

That's bizarre, especially for unpaid. Do you have any of their phone numbers? I might call one or two people and see if they'd still take you on. Did you ever get a contract or sign anything?

This sounds pretty strange though, wonder if they are having issues with the firm if no one is responding - I would keep looking for now in case it doesn't work out

Thanks for the reply - I have the phone numbers of the people that I interviewed with, but was a little hesitant to call without setting something up first. In terms of a contract, I was sent one, but wanted to clarify a couple details before signing and that was when I got ghosted. I agree its bizarre, hoping its just something with the holidays and nothing more.
