Hand written notes to MDs for networking

Cold emails are overrated. From their inboxes inundated with project emails and multiple networking requests, maybe writing a handwritten note and posting it with your resume attached might be the move?

cold emails are not overrated. Maybe its not working for you because people tend to respond to them less in the UK, given that networking isnt necessary to land an offer

I would find a handwritten note very odd if I haven't spoken to the person before - yes it shows eagerness but will come across as super weird and backwards (why me, why mail it and pay money?)

Apart from it being odd, people will most probably not respond as they would have to physically type your email to respond vs just clicking reply on their mailbox. They also cant even forward your CV to colleagues as its printed (makes a huge difference). Its inconvenient for the sender and the receiver

Ross from bx said handwritten thank you notes after an interview, which is very different from what you want to do. Stuff like this could make a very small difference while interviewing but again you’d have to have spoken to the person first (preferably in person and made a connection with them)
