How should I network for London SA if at college in the US

I’m a sophomore at US target school, will apply for 2024 SA programs in London but don’t know how to go about networking as I have limited alums based in London. Should I just be cold emailing anyone?

Agree with the other post that you don't need to network in UK IB - it's nothing like the US recruitment gaunlet. There might be a SLIGHT benefit by being able to write "I spoke to X in the Y team who told me how strong the bank's culture is" in your cover letter, but it's not a must-have by any means. If you must, then reach out to people on LinkedIn, but don't be disappointed by a lot of ignored messages (it's not you, it's us miserable Brits).
