How to find my next move

I am an MBA student in the EU and a US citizen working in real estate at a boutique PE firm here. My goal when entering my program was to land a MF analyst position within 3 years after graduating, either through BB REIB position or through an REPE position. My wife is from the EU and she will get her green card around when I get my MBA, but pretty much requires us to move to the US.

Due to Covid, my MD basically suggested I leave right after graduating because deal flow will be really low and I won’t get the exposure I’m looking for, but that leaves me with an MBA from the EU (Non-LSB/LSE/Oxford) and 1 year of RE experience looking for a REPE or REIB position. Recruiting for associates is over and I wasn’t really expecting to go through the process because my timeline for moving was really funky, so I’ve been networking my ass off to try and leverage a position.

Anybody have any suggestions on what I might be able to do to still achieve my goal of MF in 3 years?
