How to get a job?
I have had hundreds of rejections by applying through job portals despite having acceptable internships. Scrolling around here a lot of you recommend avoiding job portals because they're a dead end and just go straight to cold calling and networking.
Does this advice also apply when you're trying to get a job from abroad? The point is that I'm applying for jobs in the EU (would love to apply to the US but it's impossible) and I'm not having much success. Would it be too much to send a cold message on LinkedIn to someone in NYC or London and invite him for a phone talk or ask him to push my CV? (I live in Greece)
What can I do?
