How useful is this careers advisers' advice?

I go to a semi target and recently got my CV checked by one of the careers advisers here. She gave me a fair bit of comments and advice but a lot of it contradicted my prior research and information that I've read on here. Therefore I'm not sure whether I should take her advice given she probably isn't an expert on IB recruiting. This is in the context of spring week recruiting. Some of her advice was:

  • Moving my extra curriculars/leadership section above work experience as my work experience isn't finance specific whereas extra-curriculars are. I was under the impression work experience was always above that and non finance work experience is okay for spring week recruiting.
  • Maximum font size of 11. I've previously read 10.5 and 10 are okay.
  • I shouldn't use Times New Roman and should use Calibri or Arial instead which she said are industry standards. Majority of examples I've read use Times New Roman so I think this is wrong.
  • Removing a line on positions I have in non-finance societies in the skills/activities/interests section

Would really appreciate anyone else's input or opinions on this thanks!
