HSBC Banking vs RWB / HW
Hey guys,
HSBC offers internships in both their Banking as well as Capital Financing programs. London
The Banking program is described as:
"Advisory Coverage – these teams originate, develop and execute corporate transactions and capital raising projects for global customers in most major industry sectors. Activities include mergers and acquisitions, divestures, joint ventures and financial restructurings.".
The Capital Financing program is described as:
"The internship offers the opportunity to join a team in one of the following products areas: asset finance; debt capital markets; equity capital markets; leveraged and acquisition finance; mergers and acquisitions; or project and export finance."
.
It seems that the Banking program just prepares you for life as a coverage banker.
If given an offer, should I go for the Banking internship and try to get a CF Analyst position or an internship at an MM (RWB / HW like)?
Thanks for the advice,
PM for details
