Which country would be the destination? UK, Canada or US?

But yeah, as you have assumed - the odds of getting a visa are low. But if you are enrolled in a university you may qualify for an internship visa depending on your destination.

Check with the relevant immigration website of that country and see if you meet the requirements.

I think the only countries realistically possible are middle eastern (uae, saudi) singapore and HK, Maybe just maybe germany (although again almost impossible), about 12-15 years ago UK banks recruited at IIM ABC Before the financial crash

When I worked in IB (multiple locations) and within industry roles we often had international interns, they didn't even study in the same country. But I don't know which strings they had to pull to get there. Clearly a normal application won't get anyone a visa for an internship, at least not without some networking or effort from the family.

I would still reach out to internship agencies abroad and see what they have to say.
