IBD/AM/CF vs. Quant job prospects, ladder, etc.
So I'm getting an MSF at a semi-target, and I know there's the analyst/IBD/AM path to try for, and there's quant finance. I know I'm not getting BB IBD, and even getting a boutique would be hard, but I know there's also corporate finance, financial analyst, and Asset Management roles. There's als othe path for quant finance, and a concentration in it, but my math is only proficient to New York's old Math B curriculum (trig, advanced algebra, etc.). My pre-calc grade was awful and I only got a decent grade in calc BC my prof wanted to keep his job (the whole class should've failed). But which career path is easier to get into from interviews/networking, which has better pay, work/life balance, advancement prospects?
