International Student >>> IB
Hey guys, I am an international student (outside EU). Its my final year at a top 5 UK university. I am doing Econ and expecting a First Class Degree. (3.8+ GPA) I could not get any strong internships due to many reasons, including Visa problems. Is doing a Postgraduate degree on finance, accounting or business at Oxbridge/LSE help me get in to IB or should I try to work in small business to sort my visa sponsorship and then reapply? (I have CFA Level 1 as well) Thanks a lot !!
still waiting desperately...
These are difficult times for every job market and almost any industry. use your network as much as possible and don't give up.
Plan A should be networking and job applications, Plan B getting any job until your visa situation is handled.
What do you think about doing a master in a top school and doing Level 2 CFA meantime? Do you think masters without a high quality work experience qualify me for IB ? thanks for the response..
I landed a BB gig after a masters. but that was a while ago and we didn't have any viruses flying around. I never did my CFA but wish I had.
Yeah I guess I have a small chance. Did you have prior experience tho?
I had no prior professional experience. But I received that offer outside of the traditional English speaking job markets and it was before mass immigration in the EU and US came into play. Back in the day you could submit 3 applications and you got 5 offers.
