London BB / EB - who is hiring associates?

Feels very quiet atm

Are there still a lot of bankers flooding the market after cuts?

How competitive are the processes?

Any banks capitalising on the lack of hiring across the industry?

Thanks

Seems like all banks are hiring associates - speaking with headhunters, i have been told being an junior to mid level associate with good deal exp across buy and sell side is the sweet spot. Have also been told that senior analyst laterals are being passed over for junior associates. In terms of capitalising, its the mm and boutiques that are benefitting - have yet to see banks hire at the analyst lateral level (please comment if you do lol)
