London Off-cycle vs Graduate Role

Hello, how competitive is Off-cycle compared to graduate roles for Investment banking positions? I heard graduate roles are impossible to get without experience but yet some people do get them without any and I've also heard stories of people getting Off-Cycle quite easily too. Can anyone take me through their experience applying for IB Off-cycles and Graduate roles with no experience (or some but in an unrelated field).

Grad roles are nearly impossible, vast majority of spots are filled with summer analysts so they might open the program for 1-2 spots only (and if they do). OC is good choice if you've missed SA or want to re-recruit. OC is indeed competitive, a lot less spots available (only a few banks hire OC) and less candidates than SA but usually with some experience already so you do see slightly older people with decent backgrounds there.
