M&A Analyst position worth it as a lateral hire?
Hi everyone. Its my first time posting on here so its great to meet the community.
I am trying my best to break into IB. I have already networked with the EB I want to get into and they suggested I lateral over for their IB analyst position.
Landed an M&A analyst position for an insurance brokerage company. Is this worth pursuing or is it just a waste of time? The job description appears to be solid M&A work (from my understanding/compared to BB job listings &etc), but im not too sure about it helping me as a lateral hire.
Many thanks for any tips/advice.
bump: in similar situation
Yes obviously better than nothing or something complete unrelated ??
Just dont want to waste my time on this position if it, in reality, is just going to be another unrelated job. Do you know if any of the skills are actually transferable/will look good on a resume or if its best to reject and keep searching. Also thanks for taking the time to respond, appreciate it!
Paste the job description but based on the title yes
thanks for taking a look. Here it is:
Looks like you’re helping out with RWI (reps and warranties insurance) or something similar? It’s only indirectly relevant based on the description
