Master newbie seeking Path Advice!

Hi everyone,

I recently started my two-year part-time Master’s in Financial Analytics at KCL. However, I’m a bit concerned about my academic background, as I graduated with a 2.2 from my previous university, which is considered a semi-target school in the UK.

I also have a compliance background from working in an asset management firm, but I’m unsure how to leverage this experience for a summer internship in BB. I think it’s definitely hard to aim for a front office role this summer, so I’m wondering what positions I should target instead. Should I consider doing an internship at a Big Four firm to gain some experience, or would it be better to pursue a part-time role as a cash and equity analyst at Citi especially if I can get a referral from a friend ?

Should I start planning my applications now, or would it be better to wait until January to see if my grades improve?
