Megafund internship or MM IB?

Hi WSO,

I am currently in a position where I am making a choice between a FT IB analyst position at one of the larger non-BB banks, and a long-term off-cycle internship with the credit arm of a MF. (Both in London)

Am I wrong to give up a FT offer for a shot at a MF?

I am set on doing credit, and feel that being at a fund will be a great opportunity, and even if no offer is given I believe I would still have some solid openings for full-time after the internship.

I am in my last semester of a MSc in Europe, with an IB SA and a MM PE internship under my belt.

In my head, the MF is the way I want to go, but would be great to get some of your input.

congrats! go for credit imo since you want to do credit?! The MF brand will carry you wherever with the target MSc + relevant experience especially if it’s a noBBIB

things look different if you have a family to take care off but half a year should be sufficient to find FT with your profile.
