Mortgage Broker to CRE Debt Broker Career Switch

I’m currently working as a mortgage broker at a HNW brokerage in London - thinking about making the switch to CRE Debt Advisory/Debt Broker to increase my earning potential long term.

Current TC is £150k/$200k but max earnings is probably around £200k/$260k. I’d ideally look to push TC to £300k/$400k and beyond, which I can’t see being possible in my current role.

I predominately work with HNWI, UHNWI and family offices buying prime central London predominantly residential real estate, average loan is £1.5m. I feel my skill set would translate well to a CRE debt broking environment - has anyone made the switch?

Does anyone have any advice for someone who is thinking of a early-30s career change.

Thanks in advance
