Networking before the summer internship
I am about to start the summer internship next month, and I am not sure if I should network with the people in the team before the start? Just wanted to be better prepared and ask for tips and advice. Would that leave a bad impression as I was too eager or something ??

Would say:
- Reach out to previous Summer Analyst for tips, ask about what to prep, what type of work you will do, who to stay away from and so forth.
- Reach out to Analysts mainly since you will be working with these people mainly, no point reaching out to MDs, Directors etc.
- Reach out to staffer, make sure to get to his good side, he/she will make final decision for conversion and when it comes to staffing. Are there specific verticles you are interested, then feel free to put this as a suggestion for the staffer
- Obviously, do a course in Excel
- Don't spam message everyone, some people will not appreciate it but its a hit / miss - try to reach out to people with same background (university, nationality, ethnicity etc)
