Networking With Small Firms?
Need some advice, I'm a little stuck.
Step 1 complete: get a conversation with an employee at a small firm (boutique IB, M&A advisory etc)
Now here's where I'm stuck, see, I haven't even got that far. On the call I'll ask them about their experience, advice, their firm, the usual. But how to bring up the topic of internships? Does "I saw your website doesn't have a careers page/internship postings but do you know if there are plans to hire interns for next winter/summer" work? Too forward? Should I ask in an email after the call? Any tips appreciated.
