New Role Portfolio Analyst

Hey all- looking for some advice on a possible career move. Currently early/mid 20's work in the middle office on the fixed income sales and trading side for a mid market BD. Have the opportunity to move to a smaller firm (less than 40 employees) as a portfolio analyst. Would be doing similar work just on the buy side and pay would be better (10-15k more depending on bonus). Downside here is they want somebody to stay in this role for a minimum of 3 years before advancement. Contemplating which role would be better for my career 3-5 years from now. Already passed FINRA exams, looking to start studying for CFA within the next year. Not 100% sure what I am more interested in at this point whether it is FI S&T or AM, would prefer to stay on the institutional FI area long term. Any thoughts appreciated.
