Operations Analyst to Strategy and Operations with Deloitte

I was hoping to get some advice. I'm wondering if experience at an investment banking firm as an Operations Analyst would help to break into Strategy and Operations with Deloitte during B school. I saw that they have an Operations Services department for IB.

Thanks!

My plan is in May I can move to a Sr. Finanical Analyst or Sr. Business Analyst position. Both positions are for capital markets. I'm wondering which path to take, but I think if I decide on consulting that the BA position would likely be better.

Thanks for replying.

Do you think your operations analyst experience helped get the S&O internship at Deloitte? Also, can you shed some light on where you went to school (range wise)?

I'm really interested in getting a position with Deloitte after business school. I was planning to do a pre-summer internship for before b school but I think that it only applies to LG and URM's.

1) Yes there was transferable skills that were useful. I led global, cross functional project teams and communicated with senior stakeholders.

2) That said, cases performance is king. People with better experience than me have been striking out during recruiter, and people with non-profit work experience and low test scores get MBB.

I go to kellogg.
