I work at investment bank in London, currently on a Global Markets graduate programme. At my bank, at the end of one year and three rotations, everyone applies to 3 jobs on three different desks. You are free to apply to jobs on desks on which you rotated, or on those that you did not. Note that not all desks that you rotated on will be hiring. Of course, some of those on the graduate programme did not get jobs afterwards.
I was wondering what someone would do after a graduate programme and no analyst job at that bank? Where could such a person apply for jobs? I know that they would be able to apply to analyst jobs at investment banks, but anywhere else? Perhaps on the buy side?
