Process For Dec Grads For FT?

So I'm a current senior now and will be graduating Dec 22. I've talked to a good amount of people and most of them don't fully know if I can be included in normal FT recruiting or not... One person said he was thinking of throwing me into a 1st year lateral recruiting process and another person just said he would throw me in the normal timeline resu stack. I'm currently in a CorpDev internship and am well liked by my team, but I have since realized I would rather start out in IB (Don't know what I want long-term). Do I just get included in the normal start dates or do I get boned in FT.

This happens all the time and you are 100% eligible for FT recruiting and a summer 2023 start date. It says it right in the application, Dec-Jun grad date for most places. Don't ask them or bring it up at all, you're eligible and it happens all the time. You won't have any shot at 1st year lateral with no experience.

Problem is unless you have prior IB internships FT recruiting is very very hard, especially this year. Get the corp dev offer and hopefully have a longish acceptance date, recruit IB for a bit but don't turn down a corp dev offer to start chasing IB past early Sept or so
