£2.5K to spend on career development resources. Where to allocate funds?
So as the title suggests, I have received 2.5K GBP to spend on my career development / resources to allow me to become more employable. I wanted some suggestions on how I can best allocate this capital
For some context:
> Going into my 2nd year at a Target University in the UK
> Have a BB Summer Internship in Investment Banking for 2025
> I am considering doing a Masters in Finance (Oxford/LBS require GMAT)
My initial thoughts. I was going to spend some money on buying a course to prep for my summer next year in the hopes that I get a return offer ie. WSP / WSO courses on modelling, ppt etc.
I was also planning on buying some courses / books to prep for GMAT in my downtime this year, I am not 100% certain on a MSc, but I want greater optionality.
Some outlandish ideas: Soft Skills Coach, French Intensive Classes, Paying for mentorship (hate this idea).
What do the people of WSO think?
For £60 or so, highly recommend Michael Gatto’s new book on credit, and that’s likely worthwhile for any transactional FO role.

I’ve heard great stuff about this guy, have you or anyone you know reached out for guidance through his site?
