Recruiting for PE from Undergrad

Student at ivy - have a corporate banking soph sa offer at bb for 2022. Looking to break into buyside and if that doesnt work out then ib.

Im interested in hf too (sm/maybe mm >1bn) but im assuming its much more flexible in terms of timeline for recruiting undergrads - pls correct me if im wrong.

For PE, i heard that the recruiting has been getting earlier and similar to banking. Would it be late if i first secure an ib offer and then recruit for pe? Hoping i can leverage the offer to get looks from pe.

I already have a bb name on my resume but being corporate banking, its not applicable really to most pe firms. I do have ib and ~100m hf internship too which is probably more relevant for pe/hf recruiting.

Just wondering if I should focus entirely on ib as sa 2023 is coming up or simultaneously recruit for pe.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks sounds like a plan - would u know anything about the return offer rates at these pe firms?
