Restructuring & IPO services/advisory - too cyclical ?

Hi guys

I'm hoping to transfer to either restructuring or ipo advisory (housed under advisory or transaction services for most big 4 however seems quite audit based) after I ACA qualify in 10 months. Long term game plan is to do this for 5-10 years then switch to a corporate development senior role however im worried whether these roles are too cyclical based with a high chance of downsizing if the economy is at one or another end of the spectrum.

Can anyone offer any advice? Other departments thatseemed interesting were Business Modelling. TS doesn't seem to offer anything interesting at my firm.

This is for big 4 in uk btw

Thanks
