I'm applying for an SA position at a boutique bank in London. I'm going to a US university right now so I was wondering what changes I would have to make to my resume. Would I have to make small changes like convert my GPA to the UK equivalent, or would they be much larger? Thank you for your help.

example above you do not convert your gpa just put 3.7/4.0 for example often they request a section on goals and interests as well and are two pages. Yes, they ask for age, gender, marital status....different than US resume. Good Luck!
I am not 100% certain about this, but I would be cautious before putting gender and marital status on a resume. My advice would be to contact the firm directly and ask whether they request any changes to your typical US resume or talk to the career services dept at your school.
UK employers seem to go nuts for a section on "skills" and "competencies" as they like to call them. They also really like to see names on your CV that they recognize (they tend to be more prestige-obsessed than Americans). I'll be honest though, I'm not sure what British HR and interviewers are looking for. Every bank I interviewed with, I only got rejected once I was put in front of a British person. And the offers I got were from the banks where out of 15+ of my interiewers none were British.
At my boutique, which is in the UK, we generally favor US style resumes and I think students are starting to realize this. A lot of the 2 page CV's we get are loaded with shit. Also, when I was applying I didn't put my nationality, gender, or marital status on anything because it's non of their business. Hope this helps
careful with the advice you receive here - the world outside of the us&a (referred to as 'international') is more multi-faceted than one may think.
on the european continent, you generally disclose info regarding sex, nationality etc. but you definitely don't do this in the uk. invest a bit of time and look at banks' uk recruiting websites, they should tell you what they want on the cv.
The research I've done agrees with what people in this thread have said. Firms are starting to prefer smaller, American-style CVs. I will tailor mine accordingly. Thanks for the help everyone.
Also, British people commonly put their individual high school grades on their CV. Even people who are finishing grad school or have some experience often have a section for what they did in high school.
i agree with nauru, brits like to put high school on their CV and so it is standard practive. i'm not sure what the point is though unless you went to Eton and you are hoping there are alumni working there
